Criccieth is a beautiful small town situated on the shores of Cardigan Bay and sheltered by the Snowdonia Mountains. Criccieth boasts two beaches, both a mixture of sand and pebbles, overlooked by Criccieth Castle
Criccieth town is made up of a number of small shops, including the famous Cadwaladers ice cream parlour. On the tourist trail of North Wales, Criccieth is a popular choice for a holiday or short break.

Porthmadog with the terminus of the Ffestiniog Railway is 6 miles to the east with the Italianate village of Portmeirion a further couple of miles beyond and Pwllheli is 8 miles to the west. Pen y Pass, the start of the Miners Track and the PYG Track routes up Snowdon are approximately 20 miles distant and Caernarfon with its Castle, Bangor and Anglesey across the Menai Straits, are all within easy reach. Black Rock with miles of fine sand is just 5 miles distant and down the Peninsula Abersoch for sailing, Hells Mouth for surfing and other places are easily accessible.
All this is just two to two and a half hours drive from Manchester and Liverpool along the excellent A55. Criccieth is just 2hrs drive from Shrewsbury.
