The Neptune is owned by the Criccieth Holiday Club Evangelism Trust (CHCET) (Registered Charity No. 1075391), which grew out of the Scripture Union Beach Mission, held in Criccieth. The work is among local families and those visiting the town on holiday. The main focus of the work is still the Holiday Club fortnight in August, although the work now continues throughout the year.

The trust contributes to the support of a full time Welsh Speaking Schools Worker for the area.

The Trust was set up in June 1998 and through the generosity of a number of supporters the house was purchased for the use of the team when they are in Criccieth and to be run as group accommodation at other times. All operating profits will be used to finance the work of the trust and the Schools Worker in particular.

Criccieth Holiday Club planted a Church in Criccieth at the request of some local families, with the aim of reaching other local families who would not otherwise be in Church. The group started meeting weekly in May 2000 and now has an established congregation of local people known as Criccieth Family Church. The Church continues to grow and offers mid week clubs for children and teenagers.

Also out of the Holiday Club, grew Roots Bookshop. Situated on the High Street, this gives the Trust an outlet into local life. Roots is primarily a christian bookshop and Internet Café. All profits of Roots Bookshop are channelled back into the work of CHCET.
